China Licensing Expo attracts strong interest with more visitors |

Chinese mainland’s most influential international licensing fair, China Licensing Expo is attracting stronger interests from international and Chinese exhibitors in animation, entertainment and sport etc, with over 30% growth in confirmed exhibitors seen by now over last year, as the show’s industry influence and quality visitors continue to grow.
As the only licensing event in Chinese mainland under the Sponsorship of LIMA, China Licensing Expo, is held in every October in Shanghai concurrently with China Toy Expo and China Kids Expo, Chinese mainland’s largest international fairs for toy and baby products. Last year the events altogether received over 73,670 visitors from 114 countries and regions, most of which are retailers, wholesalers, importers as well as licensees from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and other Asian countries. Beside the strong increase of plush toys and baby products licensees, the growth of licensees for food, publishing and apparel in 2013 reached 97%.
"The show provides a significant opportunity for Western companies and brands to gain access to decision-makers while making important inroads in the expansive Asian marketplace, especially China. It also supports Asian brand owners in finding greater opportunities for marketing their properties and brands. " said Mr. Charles M. Riotto, the president of LIMA.
It is expected about 700 famous characters and brands, including Barbie, Hot wheels, Paul Frank, SpongeBob, Thomas & Friends, Snoopy, Ultraman, Miffy, Doraemon, Garfield, Plants vs Zombies, and the hottest Chinese brands of Where Are You Going Daddy, Boonie Bears, Ali the Fox, will present in this year’s show. Organized by China Toy & Juvenile Products Association (CTJPA), China Licensing Expo is the largest licensing event in Asia by display space. Hasbro, Disney, Mattel, other leading Chinese and international licensing companies & brands are regular exhibitors of the show. It is widely recognized as the most effective way to understand the licensing market, promote brands, and expand licensing business in Asia.
