A MOTHER’s passion and the power of social media have reunited a little girl with her cuddly toy.
Little Holly Davies, aged 19 months, lost her baby toy rabbit Peachy in Thatcham Broadway last Wednesday.
The baby toy was given to Holly by her nan on the day she was born and held great sentimental value for the family.
Holly’s mother, Emma Davies, took to social networking site Facebook to try and track down her daughter’s beloved toy.
The appeal was shared by hundreds of people and the beloved bunny was finally tracked down by a lady in Theale who realised that her sister’s daughter had acquired an extra identical toy rabbit.
Indeed, the message spread so quickly that Holly was reunited with Peachy on Saturday.
Mrs Davies said that her daugther was really attached to the baby toy and had been aware that her cuddly friend was missing as she would say “Peachy” when her parents showed her pictures of the missing toy.
Mrs Davies said that she was more sentimental over the toy because of it being given to her first child.
She thanked everyone who helped with the campaign, adding that she was really grateful to the lady who reunited her daughter with Peachy.
She said: “So many people that I don’t even know were trying to help me.
“If it wasn’t for Facebook I would never have got it back, I think it made people feel good and it shows the good side of social media and a mother’s passion to get her daughter’s baby toy back.” |
