Minneapolis baby from viral teddy bear video now stars in ‘Baby Cop’ web series

Remember that stop-motion video of a teddy bear eagerly awaiting the arrival of his new best friend? Well the comedian behind that viral video is at it again.

Chris Knutson and his wife, Aimee, said they’d make more videos as their son, Henry, grew up – and this month they started posting a series of videos on YouTube featuring 9-month-old Henry as a “Baby Cop.”

Little Henry is the hotshot rookie cop who gets a hard time from the other officers on the force for being a baby.

Knutson got the idea to turn Henry into a baby cop before he was even born. When he and his wife were at a birthing class, he got a kick out of drawing mustaches on the babies in the pamphlets, imagining they were seasoned cops, Knutson told the Pioneer Press.

So far Knutson has uploaded four of the nine planned “Baby Cop” videos, which also star some local comedians, including Zach Coulter, Pat Susmilch, Jeff Pfoser and the late Gus Lynch, the newspaper notes. The series was filmed in November with a budget of $300, Knutson said.

As for the teddy bear, it won’t make an appearance in “Baby Cop,” but Knutson told the Pioneer Press he plans to make another video with the bear for Henry’s first birthday.
